Case study

A private collection portal — and the app in its pocket.

An advisor managing valuable private collections needed software that matched the trust clients place in them — private, branded, and shaped exactly to how the practice works. Delivered, paid, and in daily use.

The brief

The advisor's world ran on spreadsheets and long email threads — works, documents, and conversations scattered across inboxes. It worked, barely, but it never matched the caliber of the practice. The ask: one private place where the advisor manages everything and each collector sees their own collection — nothing more, nothing less.

What I built

A public website that carries the practice properly, and behind it a private collector portal: per-collector access, works and documents in one place, shaped around how the advisor actually manages collections rather than forcing a generic tool's workflow. Everything under the advisor's brand — no vendor chrome anywhere a collector looks.

The companion iOS app

Collectors increasingly wanted the collection in their pocket, so the portal grew a native iOS companion — built in SwiftUI, polished to feel like the brand, currently in App Store review. Same private data, same invitation-only access, now one tap away.

The handoff

The advisor runs it day-to-day — adding works, inviting collectors, updating documents takes a few taps, no developer needed. The flat monthly covers hosting, monitoring, updates, and fixes, and the system keeps growing as the practice does.

The pattern

Built for art advisors & galleries — and worlds like theirs.

Your clients trust you with what they value most. The spreadsheet, the email chains, and the generic tools don't match that trust — a private, branded system does.
